For over 25 years, Uncle John’s Bakery has been a household name in the Ghanaian and wider West African community in the UK, renowned for its authentic butter bread, sugar bread, and tea bread—all crafted with care, tradition, and unmistakable flavor. Their bakery is a staple in Tottenham, delivering both nostalgia and quality to homes across the UK.
At Ghana Store Plymouth, our mission has always been to bring authentic Ghanaian food closer to home for our customers in Devon and the Southwest. Partnering with Uncle John’s Bakery represents a powerful alignment of values: quality, authenticity, and service to the Ghanaian community abroad.
While the partnership details are still being finalized, our shared goal is clear—to make fresh Ghanaian bread and baked goods available regularly in Plymouth, and eventually, through our wider online store. This means our customers could soon enjoy the taste of freshly baked tea bread with hot shito, or the soft, sweet richness of Uncle John’s butter bread, right here in the Southwest.
